Keep your Canva design — just make it scannable
Canva is where a lot of restaurants and cafes design their menus, and the result usually looks great. You don't need to rebuild any of that in another tool. Export your finished design as a PDF, and QRHut turns it into a QR code guests scan with their camera — your typography, colors, and layout intact.
Export a PDF, don't share a Canva link
It's tempting to use Canva's public "share" link, but it's the wrong tool for a printed menu. Public design links can force viewers to load Canva, may change if you duplicate or reorganize the design, and aren't meant to be a permanent, stable URL. Instead:
- In Canva, open your menu and click Share → Download.
- Choose PDF Standard (smaller file, fine for on-screen reading).
- Upload that PDF to QRHut — done.
The exported PDF is self-contained, so nothing breaks when you tidy up your Canva account later. The same reliability logic applies to any PDF menu.
Design the QR code to match
Because you've put effort into the look, use QRHut's color customization so the QR code sits naturally on your Canva table tents and menu cards. One rule: keep strong dark-on-light contrast and a clear margin around the code so it scans instantly, even in dim rooms. OurQR code menu examples show table-tent layouts that pair a code with a design.
Redesign as often as you like
Seasonal refresh? New brand colors? Update the design in Canva, re-export the PDF, and upload it to QRHut. Your printed code is dynamic, so every code already on your tables shows the new design — nothing to reprint. Create your free QR code menu and upload your Canva export to go live. You can also start fromGoogle Drive,Google Docs, or aphoto of your menu.
Frequently asked questions
How do I turn a Canva menu into a QR code?
In Canva, export your menu with Share → Download → PDF Standard. Then sign up for QRHut, upload that PDF, and download the QR code it generates. It's free, with unlimited scans, and you can re-upload after any redesign.
Should I use the Canva share link or export a PDF?
Export a PDF. Canva's public design links can require viewers to load Canva, may change if you duplicate or move the design, and aren't built to be a permanent menu URL. A PDF you upload to QRHut is self-contained and reliable.
Can I match the QR code to my Canva menu design?
Yes. QRHut lets you customize the QR code's foreground and background colors, so it looks like it belongs on the menu and table tents you designed in Canva. Keep strong dark-on-light contrast so it scans reliably.
What if I redesign my menu in Canva later?
Re-export the updated design as a PDF and upload it to QRHut. Because your printed code is dynamic, every code you've already placed instantly shows the new design — you never reprint the QR code.
Is a Canva QR code menu free?
Yes. QRHut's Free plan is free forever with unlimited scans and no credit card. Canva's free tier lets you design and export the menu, and QRHut turns it into a scannable code at no cost.
